About Heidi
I grew up on my family’s ranch in southwest North Dakota and pursued a degree in Agri-Business at Dickinson State University (DSU). During my time at DSU, I had the honor of serving as the 1997-1998 National PAS (Postsecondary Agricultural Students) Vice-President. My career in the financial industry began in 1995, and since 2003, I have specialized in Wealth Management as a Trust Officer. My focus areas include Farm Succession Planning, Trust & Estate Planning, and working with Foundations & Escrow Clients. Beyond my professional work, I am actively involved in my local community, serving on multiple committees and boards. My husband and I, along with our two daughters, also operate our family farm, continuing a legacy deeply connected to agriculture.
As a Certified Farm Succession Planner, I provide essential tools to help Ag Producers design a succession plan for transitioning their farm or ranch. Whether passing the business to the next generation or determining a structured plan for asset division and sale, I facilitate critical conversations to align the owner’s vision with practical strategies. “Taking the first step of creating and designing a plan is usually the hardest part.” Many Ag Producers struggle with where to begin or how to shape their long-term goals. My role is to guide them through the process, ensuring their wishes are met while securing the future of their farm.
Agriculture is the foundation upon which our nation was built. “We as Ag Producers feel a strong tie to the land and our livestock,” and we are committed to maintaining our farming traditions for future generations. The sustainability of our country’s agricultural industry depends on the ability of the next generation to access land and business assets. Farm Succession Planning plays a crucial role in preserving these legacies. Having grown up on a farm that has been in my family for over 100 years, and now raising our daughters on my husband’s fifth-generation farm, I understand firsthand the importance of securing the future of family farms.
At Pathfinder Legacy, my goal is to help you navigate the future with confidence—ensuring your hard work continues to thrive for generations to come.
A Deep Connection to Agriculture
Taking the first step in planning can be daunting. Farm succession discussions often involve complex emotions, uncertainty, and financial concerns. Heidi understands these challenges firsthand, having grown up on her family farm, which has remained in her family for over 100 years. Today, she and her husband are raising their children as the fifth generation on his family farm, instilling in them the same deep-rooted values of agriculture and legacy.
